Really, you don't think it could have been that the conservatives wouldn't allow blacks decent books, and a good education, or hire them to do jobs they might be qualitifed for, and instead gave them low paying jobs, or none at all......that big business dumped lead and other harmful chemicals into the soil and air near their neighborhoods, resulting in so many of their children having learning disabilities, that make many unable to compete?

By way of preparation I yesterday bought a new spark plug for my generator, installed it, pulled the cord 20 times with no result, and said f'it. I forgot to buy gas anyway. The house has natural gas so in the worst case we have hot water and a working stove.

I agree 100% that projection is a liberal thing.
It bothers me not one whit that Casca is a sleepless witty Martian or that DougM is zombie Mark Twain. Rodg hisself is a well-known gay black labrador. Those folks and so many others here interest me in themselves. Me, I'm a Black&Decker toaster, but Rodg hasn't banned me for it.
I work with plenny of Indians. There's Sri and Mahesh, who are both sharp and pleasant, and I volunteer to work with every time. There's (name withheld) from India who I don't give a rat's ass for and run away when I have to work with her. It's not gender, race, religion, country of origin: It's all about can you do the job, and be personable.
My company is so oxymoronic as to put on the same page "We're all one team" and then "Celebrate diversity" blah blah.
Here's my motto: Put up or shut up. -
