Now I'm Steamed

Microwave Stuff

Joyce Chen Rice Cooker

Me, not so much, but everyone else in the family is a popcorn eater.  Just made a batch for MoSup and the princess granddaughter.  I tried to use a microwave bag that's been laying about for some time, but no; she insisted on fresh.  No matter; 1/3 cup of good (Orville Redenbacher' grade) popcorn and two minutes yields a bucket.  I apply butter spray and popcorn salt, and voila.  But, that's not what this is about.

I bought this Joyce Chen rice steamer about 10 years ago.  Countless, and quite unnecessary (ahem)  dishwasher washings eventually  made the plastic brittle and it broke.  I bought another one immediately.  It steams vegetables, heats leftovers,  makes rice popcorn and you name it.  It's an indispensable thing for me.

You're welcome.

PS -- yes, I told MoSup 100 times that

Handwash with Mild Cleanser
Cleaning & Care:   Handwashing Recommended
Material:   Heavy Gauge Durable Plastic
Dimensions:   7.25-in. d x 6.5-in. h
Size/Capacity:   2-qt.
 -

PPS -  summabitch.  I can't find it for sale anywhere.   Crap. Sorry.

WAIT! It's also called the Keilen 4-in-1 Microwave Rice Cooker Thanks Woody.

I think this might be the exact one listed on the Joyce Chen site;

http://www.joycechen.com/products/china-village/microwave-rice-steamer_a.html

Which in turn has a link to the same item sold under a differnet name now;

http://www.amazon.com/Keilen-4-in-1-Microwave-Rice-Cooker/dp/B000WJUNDI

Hope that helps.
