UVA Joins the Carbon Whores Club

UVA goes all in on Climate Gate FOIA coverup

Carbon Whores

The University of Virginia has joined a list of institutions claiming that there has been ... 'exoneration' of, scientists exposed by the November 2009 "ClimateGate" leak [See Brave New Commie], while simultaneously through its actions making a mockery of the idea.

UVa's August 23 release under court order of 3,800 pages of emails - records that UVa previously denied existed - was its second since the  (ATI) sought judicial assistance in bringing the school into compliance with the Virginia Freedom of Information Act.

The school has spent approximately $500,000 to date...  to avoid releasing correspondence directly addressing the now discredited “Hockey Stick” graph produced while former assistant research professor Michael Mann worked there.

In a rare instance where Great Britain showed more common sense than her colonies:
Consider the UK High Court opinion about -- per the judge -- the global warming movement's "alarmist" claims, as featured in the film "An Inconvenient Truth:"

“[Claimant attorney] has established his case that the views in the film are political by submitting that Mr. Gore promotes an apocalyptic vision, which would be used to influence a vast array of political policies, which he illustrates in paragraph 30 of his skeleton argument:

“(i) Fiscal policy and the way that a whole variety of activities are taxed, including fuel consumption, travel and manufacturing … (ii) Investment policy and the way that governments encourage directly and indirectly various forms of activity. (iii) Energy policy and the fuels (in particular nuclear) employed for the future. (iv) Foreign policy and the relationship held with nations that consume and/or produce carbon-based fuels.”

But Rodge - I have a friend who continues to say Mann and the climategate liars have been exonerated, and we were duped, and now we only have 2 weeks left to submit to total environment control or it'll be too late.  How can I answer him?

Stymy - you can't,  so don't even try.  If he (or she) is not a real, real close friend, apply an ice pick massage to the  medulla oblongata  Only known cure for AGW freaks. [Check local euthanaisa laws, or get a sample of Algore's semen and plant it on the victim's buttocks. ]

Rodg: you're a Photoshop pro. When you look at the photo of Steve Jobs that TMZ put up yesterday, can you tell me if it looks photoshopped to you (or to what degree does it look Photoshopped).
I'm not going to provide link because TMZ is a scuzzball organization, but you can easily find it by Googling Steve Jobs and TMZ. Whadya think?

I-RIGHT-I said...

I like TMZ, I'm not sure why but I do. It's unlikely they'd photo-shop any picture themselves especially of a left wing hero like Jobs. The man is dying a slow death from cancer, so I understand, and that's never pretty. If there's a sleazeball factor involved it's publishing the photos. A human being deserves to die in peace and in private when his time comes.

In protest I'm going to boycott TMZ for a week.

Also off topic, but this badass of the week is worth your time.

Not photoshopped - Jobs has pancreatic cancer which, in my dad's case meant about 5 months from diagnosis to funeral. Jobs has done well by those standards, but ... you know. If I were him I'd be on the way to Lourdes.

If I were him, I'd be on my way to Bangkok to see how many hotel rooms I can fill with donuts and whores.

But then, I am an atheist.

The typical Pancreatic cancer diagnosis says six weeks to six months. It is a wasting disease since your body no longer has enough of the enzymes required to digest food. OTOH, DrEades suggests a Ketogenic diet. http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1662484,00.html
