Another Power Grab ...

Another Day, Another Power Grab ..

Warding Off Obamunists

What’s the major difference between George W. Bush’s No Child Left Behind law and the new education program that will be announced by President Obama today?

It’s there in the very sentence above.

The Bush law is a law. It was the result of arduous bipartisan negotiations that led to an agreement between, of all people, Bush and the late Sen. Edward Kennedy.

The Obama program is a program. It is federal fiat, a decision about what’s best by your superiors in the Obama administration. It’s a unilateral move to bypass the legislative process. It may or may not be good education policy. But the Chinese Politburo also may or may not be doing good education policy. [Full]

Living under Obama is like watching that interminable desert crossing scene in Lawrence of Arabia.  The torture goes on and on and on ... .

Is anyone making noise about the Executive not being able to make law over and against the Legislative? Or is what he did not being challenged on Constitutional grounds?

I keep thinking about when, back during the Health Care debate, when someone asked Nasty Plopsie what the constitutional basis for it was and she replied, "Are you kidding me?" I always wondered what she meant by that. Did she mean, "Are you kidding me? Do I have to point out the commerce clause to you?" or "Are you kidding me? Who gives a rat's patootie about the Constitution?"

Executive Agency rulemaking ... don't get me started. This will be the process that will bring the country down before our very eyes.

Did you know that when a PETA person becomes a vampire, in order to kill them, you have to drive a steak through their heart?
