Lynch-Hillary

Holder's Mustache

New York Post: FBI Agents Tell Us Lynch and Clinton Struck a Deal on That Plane
[...]
In an unusual move, FBI agents working the Hillary Clinton e-mail case had to sign a special form reminding them not to blab about the probe to anyone unless called to testify.

Sources said they had never heard of the “Case Briefing Acknowledgment” form being used before, although all agents must initially sign nondisclosure agreements to obtain security clearance.

“This is very, very unusual. I’ve never signed one, never circulated one to others,” said one retired FBI chief.

Meanwhile, FBI agents expressed their “disappointment” over FBI Director James Comey’s decision not to recommend charges against Clinton, sources close to the matter told The Post.

“FBI agents believe there was an inside deal put in place after the Loretta Lynch/Bill Clinton tarmac meeting,” said one source.

Another source from the Justice Department was “furious” with Comey, saying he’s “managed to piss off right and left.” [FULL]

OBAMA LAWYERS LIE TO COURT

The apology comes in the context of the Texas-led 26-State lawsuit against the Obama Administration, challenging the second and third of the President’s three unilateral executive orders on immigration: the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) and the expanded Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA+).

In February, Judge Hanen issued a preliminary injunction halting the DAPA and DACA+ programs–finding that the plaintiff-States had proven both irreparable harm and a “likelihood of success” on the merits of their legal claims.  Hanen’s issuance of an injunction should have stopped both DAPA and DACA+ from being implemented at all, but in early March, DOJ admitted that it had begun to implement DACA+, and in fact had already issued work permits and expanded deportation protection to over 100,000 additional illegals.

Hanen is currently considering whether/how to further sanction the DOJ for its transgression, though he has already ruled out striking the government’s pleadings and entering judgment for plaintiff-States.

DOJ has appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, asking that court to issue a stay of Judge Hanen’s preliminary injunction.  My guess is that the Fifth Circuit won’t interfere with Hanen’s ruling.  And Hanen ought to hold the DOJ lawyers in contempt (though I doubt he will).  Maybe he should have them write “I will not lie to the court” 1,000 times on a blackboard or walk around in front of the courthouse with a sandwich board sign. Obama's GAME

The Obamissariat

“
“Do you know that Obama has not signed any executive action or order for this? Folks, this is even more corrupt than anybody conceived!  He just wrote a memo instructing Homeland Security not to deport 5 million people. There is no actual executive order.”

Rush Limbaugh on his top-rated national program today.

Sessions noted the president had publicly acknowledged more than 20 times in recent years that he did not have the constitutional authority to unilaterally implement amnesty. As the senator read excerpts of Obama’s own words, members of the audience laughed aloud at how much those words differed from the president’s actions.
As to why Obama would not sign any official amnesty order, Limbaugh opined, “The reason for this is abundantly clear. If anybody wants to prosecute this, what do you prosecute? There’s no executive order. There’s no person to go focus on.”

He concluded by lamenting “the lying that’s going on in mainstream America today! … The truth is the biggest casualty because the truth has become relative. The truth is all dependent on what the powerful can make it be.”

Limbaugh’s remarks come one day after U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., a leading opponent of Obama’s amnesty plan, expressed astonishment and ridiculed the administration for not carrying out the action through an executive order. [WND Story Here]

Krauthammer calls for Inpeachment

The Obamissariat

“

"Look, I believe it is an impeachable offense," Krauthammer told Kelly.

"If the circumstances were different, if we were at the beginning of a presidency, if we hadn't had years when the Congress has been supine and unresponsive at other grabs of their authority by the executive--like Obama unilaterally changing Obamacare after it was passed about 30 times with no response from the Congress--the same as Obama essentially re-writing some of the drug laws.

"This idea of prosecutorial discretion is really a travesty. It is intended for extreme cases. For a case where you want to show mercy for an individual or two where it's unusual incident, unusual circumstances and you say, okay, we're going to give this person a pass. It was never intended to abolish a whole class of people subject to a law and to essentially abolish whole sections of a law. And that's exactly what's happening here."

Finally some sanity.

House Sues Obama

“
.

House Votes to Sue Obama

The House voted along party lines Wednesday to authorize suing President Barack Obama, a move Republicans called a principled move to rein in an increasingly lawless president and Democrats and the White House dismissed as a taxpayer-financed political stunt.

When Turley Turns ...

“
Jonathon Turley steps to the plate:
“Mr. Obama 'has reached a constitutional tipping point that threatens a fundamental change in how our country is governed.'”

A prominent law professor and avowed supporter of the Obama White House will tell the House on Wednesday that the president has created one of the biggest constitutional crises in the country’s history and will endorse House Republicans’ effort to sue to rein him in.

Jonathan Turley, a professor at George Washington University, will say President Obama is trampling the founders’ vision for the country in his push to circumvent Congress, and he will demand Republicans and Democrats alike forget their party labels to unify against this White House’s power grab.

“What we are witnessing today is one of the greatest challenges to our constitutional system in the history of this country,” Mr. Turley said in a prepared testimony, saying it began with previous presidents but under Mr. Obama has “reached a constitutional tipping point that threatens a fundamental change in how our country is governed.”
 [full]

This could be a major big deal.  Turley has legal circle gravitas. In 1998 when Paula Jones filed her lawsuit against President Clinton, the whole Clinton Machine ,en masse, hooted, bellowed and stomped that Paula Jones was trailer trash looking for some limelight.  Then Turley, as I remember, went public with an opinion that Paula Jones seemed sincere; her version of events documented and seemingly solid.

Next thing we know, Slick became the first sitting president deposed in a criminal case.  He lied, and was later impeached, then convicted of perjury and forced to relinquish his law license.

Shouldn't we talk?

As an academic exercise .....

The right of self-defense (according to U.S. law) is the right for civilians acting on their own behalf to engage in a level of violence, called reasonable force or defensive force, for the sake of defending one's own life or the lives of others, including, in certain circumstances, the use of deadly force. [Wikidedia]

Ahem
The fact that states no longer claim a monopoly to police within their borders, enhances the argument that individuals may exercise a right or privilege to use violence in their own defense. Indeed, modern libertarianis
m characterizes the majority of laws as intrusive to personal autonomy and, in particular, argues that the right of self-defense from coercion (including violence) is a fundamental human right, and in all cases, with no exceptions, justifies all uses of violence stemming from this right, regardless whether in defense of the person or property. In this context, note that Article 12 Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:

No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks ... et al

Self defense trumps bad law

What?  You're not an Islamophobe?  Are you quite daft?

“
A story like this one, bereft of detail and in the BBC version, of any indication other than his name that Abdul Rahman Benhammedi may have been up to Islamic jihad activity, is utterly routine and unremarkable. Abdul Rahman Benhammedi is one of thousands in the U.K. who are interested in waging jihad and up to it in one way or another; his case will come and go and is unlikely to be much noted or long remembered. Britain has, in other words, grown accustomed to this sort of thing. A certain level of terror in their lives is going to be the lot of Britons from now on, and most of them are just fine with that; after all, their government and media tells them that it is preferable to committing “Islamophobia.”

“Manchester man, 20, charged with terrorism offence,” BBC, July 11, 2014:

A 20-year-old man has been charged with a terrorism offence .... [Jihad Watch cont]

Would you be shocked if this story was datelined Los Angeles ... ?  I thought so.  The Crusades have been given a bad rap; theirs was a prescient and noble cause.

Why Did He Do It Now?

Hitler's Mustache

Here's the real question.  Why?  Why now?  Obama knew that by giving congress a 30 minute heads-up, instead of the by-law required 30 days, there would be a firestorm.   This was always going to be for him a lose-lose political action, and yet he did it anyway.  Why?  I've had stuff swirling about in my minimalist brain, and this is the best I could come up with.

Obama has planned a "terrorist action" so devastating that he can use it to declare martial law- a total lock down- and rule imperiously.  I mean more imperiously than usual.  A glitch of some kind developed, and his al-Qaeda benefactors desperately needed leadership from the likes of the Gitmo Dream Team.  The pretext, also suggested by his "advisors," was a swap for Taliban captive, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.  It's likely that Obama did not anticipate that Bergdahl's back story of treason and desertion would be noticed, if he even knew himself.  Gird-up!

By the by, here's the most precious (and oh-so telling) thing in the aftermath. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) warned Wednesday that Republican lawmakers would call for President Obama’s impeachment if he released more prisoners from Guantanamo Bay without congressional approval.

Your turn.
HEADS-UP ! Metzger seems to have found a partial explanation
