Jack Kemp's old House seat (Buffalo) went Democrat for the first time ever yesterday.  Demorats will crow that  liberal Democrat Kathy Hochul was successful because she painted the Republican Jane Corwin as backing the GOP budget plan "that would kill Medicare." Current Events notes that "Because of his ballot designation and outsider status, Davis, a Democrat who was actually the Democratic candidate in the 26th in ’06, was taking votes (about 7%) of conservative independents from Republican Corwin." Get ready.              Aside: This is what I don't get.  Davis is about 90 years old.  Why didn't someone send him a message?  Kidnap his grandkids?  Burn his house down?  Am I missing something?
