Something Something Obama

He's suffocating

Wanna trade?

There's an old sea story about a ship's Captain who inspected his sailors, and afterward told the first mate that his men smelled bad.
The Captain suggested perhaps it would help if the sailors would change underwear occasionally.

The first mate responded, "Aye, aye sir, I'll see to it immediately!"
The first mate went straight to the sailors berth deck and announced, "The Captain thinks you guys smell bad and wants you to change your underwear."

He continued, "Ellis, you change with Jones, McCarthy, you change with Witkowski, and Brown, you change with Schultz."

Someone may come along and promise "Change", but don't count on things smelling any better

Australia set to unveil carbon price

Julia-Gillard and the Cuntess Pelosi
Carbon copies

Pasty-face liberal and Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard came out swinging on her contentious pollution tax, warning the "freedom to pollute our skies" was over, ending 20 years of denial and delay. Gillard is due to unveil the full detail of her carbon tax package on Sunday, followed by a rare nationally televised address and two-week whistlestop tour of Australia to sell it to voters. She will supposedly use the argument, "We have to pass the bill so you can find out if it works"

White Mob Terrorizes ... wait

White Mob Terrorizes Black Milwaukeeans

I’m sorry. I got that header wrong. It was a black mob that ransacked convenience stores and hammered a group of white people in Milwaukee this past July 4th weekend. Dang it. I ain’t ever gonna make it in this business. I’m such an idiot.

One way streets
Yep, this past weekend in the Brewer’s city a horde of African Americans, according to Milwaukee’s Police Chief Edward Flynn, looted a convenience store and beat a group of white twentysomethings in a local park in a “disturbing, outrageous and barbaric fashion.”

The fact that it was a black on white assault would explain why we didn’t hear about it via the national news. Why was there zero press for this violent mess? Well, Spanky, that's — [

Wisconsin does have a carry law, although it's mandate that You must wear your gun visibly could easily deter many from using it. And since it's unlawful to carry within 1,000 feet of a school you'd better not be moving around very much.  I guess Cheeseers will just have to go on taking their lumps.

Gummint's War Against We The People

State Gummint's War On The People

At one time I'd have bet money that this use of technology could never have passed in referendum, even if it was put to a vote which it was not.  Now, I'm not so sure. Yeah-yeah,  I know.  The people elected the bureaucracy that enacted it .  Here's a nice example of what passes for critical thinking today.  What was that quote about giving government the means to enslave us, and then thanking them when they do?

"In real time, it's just a great opportunity," said Ashland Police Chief Scott Rohmer, whose department bought a plate reader last year. "With the technology, it's just another tool to allow the officer to be better at their job and process information faster."

Even if Massachusetts wasn't a sanctuary state, finding and arresting illegal aliens does not bring in revenue.  Catching some poor shlub who forgot to renew his license does.  Does anyone doubt that all of these— speed cams, traffic cams, manufacturer installed trip monitors, license plate scans — are about tax revenue?  That's today.  Tomorrow it will be finding enemies of the state.  That would be you and me, most likely.

When Iran kills US soldiers ...

There must be very few times in American history when a foreign government is accused of killing American troops, and absolutely nothing is done about it.
OTOH, There is no time in American history when we've had president whose loyalty has been properly questioned.

President Barack Obama and congressional leaders were regrouping after House Republicans abandoned efforts for a massive deficit reduction package of $4 trillion over 10 years - a potential deal that had unnerved partisans from both political parties.

A deficit reduction agreement is crucial to winning Republican support for an increase in the nation's debt ceiling. The government's borrowing capacity is currently capped at $14.3 trillion and administration officials say the United States will go into default without action by Aug. 2.

House Speaker John Boehner announced late Saturday that he was now looking for a deal about half that size, saying chances for a bigger agreement succumbed to White House insistence on substantial new tax revenue.

Let's just say it.  John Boehner is, at best, a pussy.  A few days ago Rush, quoting a Pat Buchanan article, spoke of the historic opportunity Republicans have.  Spoke of Democrats and the Ruling Class bluffing, and in full panic mode.  It appears that House Republicans are holding firm on their  "no tax increase" pledge, but what's this about to begin with?  It's about submitting a budget that will not increase the debt ceiling yet again, and without raising taxes.  Living within our means. That's the opportunity.  Force government to address its trillions in unfunded entitlements. Letting August 2 come and go without increasing the debt ceiling would in itself be a victory.  When Americans wake up on August 3rd to a risen sun,  Democrats will have lost yet another tool from their bag of tricks.  It's here that Boehner has just been bluffed into surrender.  It seems.

The GOP's Hezbollah Wing Is Now Fully in Control,' screams The New Republic over a recent lead editorial. Other columnists charge the GOP with holding America 'hostage'" and a gun to the American peoples' heads "by refusing to accept tax hikes to avert a default on the debt.
