Whoa - 'zactly spot-on .

Ted Lacksonen has so hacked into my psyche, leastwise here,  that ... that I hope he understands calculus or plays the violin  so I get some osmosis trade-offs.

He bored me to death, not much past the part where he put on the libertarian mantle. Since all libertarians are by definition dumber than dog dirt. I don't see what your problem is.

I don't trust him. Not that he's wrong about everything but anybody that can say Obama II won't be as bad as Mittens I or that the GOP should be feared by the American people more than the Democratic Party & Co is either in possession of divinely inspired insight or he's pandering to the Ron Paul coalition of border line conservatives. Or, he's got a new book coming out. Or, he's one of them cultist guys trying to pick up Liberal women.

I'd say he's 99% on target as far as the GOP goes: the GOP must die by 2016. As far as *this* election goes, however, getting Obama out is a priority if for NO OTHER reason the coming Supreme Court vacancies/appointments. The slogan for 2012: "Romney doesn't s*ck QUITE AS MUCH."

Not that I have any particular fondness for Romney but I sure as hell don't want the pooch nosher in chief to be in a position to appoint any more Supreme Court justices.

If we "kick the GOP in the crotch" in 2012 as he demands, our reward will be a SCOTUS and bureaucracy so deep in Uhbama turds that we'll never dig out.
Nobama in 2012, then we can beat up on the RINO's.

Romney's key election phrase:

"Unlike my opponent, I won't nominate any socialists to the Supreme Court, only originalist conservatives."

Just so we all know that the Presidency means more than just the owner of the ass sitting in the Oval Office chair.

Other commenters are correct here Chief: It really is about SCOTUS. Just lie back and think of England.

This line got my attention in the article:

"Republican insiders HATE political freedom, like so many other freedoms."

Who states that kind of crap? Really.

In my 63 years I've never met a libertarian that wasn't also a Utopian.

Nothing in this man's article has changed that belief.

Let me introduce myself, Spin!

I'm a non-utopian, libertarian Republican. I would have been delighted if Gary Johnson had won the Republican nomination. But since he didn't, I'll be voting for Romney because only a Republican or a Democrat is going to be elected president for the foreseeable future.

I would love it if the Republican Party would take a more favorable stance toward individual liberty, especially regarding economics. However, they are better than the Democrats, so I'll stay in the Party and try to pull it back toward the individual freedoms this country was founded upon.

I wouldn't trust Gary Johnson to run the hat check counter at a teen dance club...Most every Libertarian I have met is anti military and pro dope.

I will think of England while I vote for Romney but the main issue is control of the Senate. Whomever is elected will inherit such a monks up economy and government that they will probably be a one term-er. Eventually, the real cost of money will exert itself and the cost of servicing the debt and cashing out Social Security bonds will eat up the revenues.

The only way out of the mess is to embraced the pain caused by the failing policies of the last 50 years, liquidate all the bad investments and use those assets to try to create wealth. It will not be pretty.
