Why Obama Will Be Crushed

For those of you fretting over the latest "FoxNews/ABC-CBS-NBC/Wall Street Journal/USAToday/Perth Amboy Times/And Whatnot" poll showing Obama 300 points ahead of Romney in the race for the presidency, do yourself a big favor -- ignore it, and everything like it.

I have for months now, and it's been great for my blood pressure.  When a TV news report on the latest polls comes on television, I instantly change the channel.  When I hear the word "poll" on my radio, I quickly switch stations.  When I happen upon a newspaper article or column about polls, I promptly flip to the funny pages.

As a former journalist, I've learned that most polls commissioned by news outlets are done not to reflect reality, but to distort it.  In the same way Hollywood has discovered it can cheaply fill airtime with so-called "reality shows," news outlets have found they can fill their pages with polls.

Book it: Romney's going to win this election in a romp come November.  I'm certain of this because there is a key factor that's being overlooked this time around -- blacks have lost their passion for Obama.

I see that loss reflected in the faces of my fellow blacks, who at the mention of Obama's name no longer beam with rapturous joy --

Equally important I think, the looming financial disaster, huge tax increases (oh yes, people are sensing it), along with Obama's rising We-Hate-His-Fkn-Guts quotient will keep all but the most die-hard socialists, and Looter vote at home in November.  There is then at least a chance that the Dems will lose BIG in congressional races.  <daydream> If they lose every race in the House and Senate (CBC members of course excluded), we'll be drilling on the North Slope and eating Spotted Owl jerky by February!  (<daydream> not closed.)

I think many people with darker complexions are realizing the Obama Administration, out of fairness, is willing to crap on them, also.

Spotted Owls should be pan fried.

I love looking at all the polls. First thing I do is ignore the top line numbers and find the partisan breakdown - if it's anywhere +R all the way to D+3, I'll check the top numbers again. But those polls are rare. The media is cooking the books, we've seen D+9, D+10 and D+13 polls lately just to get Obama and Romney tied, even though Obama won a historic D+7 in 2008. The economy sucks and the world is burning - Romney is winning.

Don't get cocky. Donate, call, work your R friends to show up, act with sympathy to your liberal friends and let them know it's okay to just not bother this year.

Polls are showing both Jews and Blacks less interested in Obama this year than in 2008.

I-RIGHT-I: Spotted Owls and Barred Owls can mate and produce viable offspring.

They are the same species.

Listing spotted owls as endangered makes as much sense as listing Manx cats as an endangered species because there aren't a lot of them.

The feds are desperately trying to collect DNA data to try to prove that they are separate species ... but they aren't.

If they can breed and make offspring that can breed, then they are the same species by definition.

An interesting vignette. One of my neighbors is a black woman, a retired, union, public employee. As a single mother she has raised a passel of kids, has a good home in a nice neighborhood, and is the epitome of that type's ability to make it -- in however small a way.

She's also, apparently, very active in the Dem's ground game. She always has a yard sign come election time. (Usually by this time of the year.) She supported Clinton, Gore, Kerry, and Obama.

Saturday, I was leaving for my errands and I happened to notice a woman get out of her parked car and go up to the door of this neighbor's house. She was wearing an Obama 2012 t-shirt and carrying a clip board. In the time it took me to get into my car and drive off, the woman (we can assume she's a campaign volunteer) had opened the storm door on my neighbor's porch, stuck something on the front door, and gotten back into her car, a carefully neutral expression on her face.

I interpret this to mean that my neighbor MAY not have a yard sign this year.
