All it would have taken is a photograph of the classroom floor or the hallway showing all the empty .223 cases (or 9mm?)all over the place.

Where is the hi def TV when you really need it?
Looks to me like that's the Henry in the trunk, or perhaps a shotgun. Watch the cop's hands move as he clears the weapon - could be working a lever, could be pressing a bottom eject like on semi-auto shotgun.
Yeah, it irks me that multiple authority figures were feeding the media misinformation on purpose (handguns vs AR15) for more than an entire day. Come on already. 5 seconds in one of those classrooms and you'd spot the litter of empty cases everywhere. Damn easy to tell .223 brass from any 9mm or .40S&W. And what's the point of sending out wrong info to the media? By the time the cops arrived, Lanza was already stone dead, gun in hand.
