Well Rog, being the farthest thing imaginable from an IT guy, I've never used anything but a Mac for myself and when I get on a PC, they don't feel right.

But that's just me-and yes, I believe they are intuitive-they'd have to be with someone like me.

Don't hold back. Tell us what you really think.

I've read that Mac computers are damn near identical to PC's as far as hardware is concerned. So, this means Macs are overpriced PC's.

Take a few pictures and let us know what your think. Guts.

BTW I am an IT Guy. 25 years now. I've owned and serviced it all. I do own a MacBook Air but mostly to maintain working knowledge of OSX. My go to devices are Windows and Android. I think that Apple devices are deliberately made slippery and Cupertino gets a cut from all the case manufacturers.

You just hate Apple because its devices don't buttfuck you like all your Windows machines have done for decades.

Face it. Apple's not gay enough for you, Rog.

And C&S takes another IQ hit. Thanks vanderleun ! You seem to be a gay/buttf'ing expert. Years of experience no doubt.

Keep the liquor away from those that don't identify themselves Rog,

It's got to be 5:00 someplace.

I've owned, programmed and used professionally both platforms since the early '80s. My 1-year-old iMac has been the slickest computer I've ever owned (and it nicely runs Windows7 simultaneously with OSX using Parallels.)

Windows 8 SUCKS!

"I've owned, programmed and used professionally both platforms.."

That's what they all say Tim! But what does it do 0-160mph? How many G's does it pull in a skid pad test? Do it average 80% above the key or outside the line? Can it take just 5 minutes of pounding and still say "I love you"? You know the important stuff? Does it have an intimate relationship with the Filthy Left? Oh, it does? Never mind.

Just kidding. I use a PC because it's cheap and what I'm used to. Kinda like voting Republican.

If it hurts you are not doing it right.

I started with computers when I took the mandatory Fortran course freshman year. Wanted to get it out of the way as I expected it to be a PITA.
First we used punched cards, then had 'online' access using TTY machines with canary yellow rolls of paper.
Years later microprocessors became 'affordable'.
The Apple products were ALWAYS priced higher than the competition, whether they performed better or worse. I was unwilling to line Jobs & Woz pockets, so I avoided all of them.
Today, Apple products are insanely overpriced. {Heh, like the adjective usage?} They are PC compatible, nothing special, but priced as if they were hand-crafted from ingots of unobtainium.
If you use the computer as a tool, you become aware of its characteristics, foibles, and how to get things done. If you don't like the way Microsoft does things, don't use their product. If you want everything dictated by the vendor, use Apple products. If you want to do your own thing, and can get by with available tools, use a Unix or Linux product.
The Apple products today are the AT&T UnixPC of 1985-6 vintage with more memory and horsepower.
I do not own an Apple product, and likely won't ever.
Opinion mode off.

I am also a tom w but I have the opposite opinion. Bought my first mac in 1984 and found iy so flawed to be almost uselewss. Bue, I continued to purchase them. They changed computing for everyone. Excel, made originally for only the Mac, took off and redefined the spreadsheet. Mac Os7 redefined what an Os could be and Microsoft had to follow along. There would be no windows without the Mac and no windows * without the iPhone. Yes I have paid more for my computing but it was always worth it. Especially when in the 90's when I bought Apple r 9$ a share, I am retired now on what I sold it for.

I took fortran in High School with punch cards. Was the computer nerd at my Nuke plant until the kids started getting hired who grew up with them. Boy did they blow me away...

What I'm going to do is buy a used iMac, then I'm going to load it up with the latest Apple server anti-virus soft ware....Then I'll install linux Mint. I've alreadytold everybody not to send me any attachments by eMail. I've shown them my aluminum baseball bat. My step mother walks a bit funny now. Oops time for my frog pills.
