In your yard? Doves are frequent visitors to our feeders, but I've never seen one of those before. Nice catch!

Yeah. We have a large contingency of MBs. This was around for two days and disappeared. My first thought was that birds kill defectives (don't know if that's true, but an animal kingdom reality), but this was a full grown bird? Maybe it was signed by some Japanese talent agency and shipped to Tokyo.

Around my house Red-Tailed Hawks most certainly do. Defective, slow, inattentive, etc. Pretty much all lunch.

Even the cats scatter when they see a fast moving shadow cross the lawn.
