REMEMBRANCES
A great
tribute. There are some unpleasantnesses however;
like Walter Cronkite's appearance. And comments like this:
It
is a shame that our corrupt government put our soldiers in harm's way
in this, and so many other unnecessary, and unprovoked/pre-emptive
wars. When will it end? How long will many of our poorest people,
invade distant lands and be murdered under the guise of freedom, only
to kill the poor of these other lands?
But, then, this is about people who did their duty, not misinformed slugs and agitproppers. (via metzger) |
scream-of-consciousness; "If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."

I remember that day in 73. Col. Robinson Risner lived two doors down from us in Oklahoma City. We watched him come home. I still have a signed copy of "The Passing of The Night" by him. This was a class A post Rog.

There were civilian POWs as well. Such as my father. Taken in Hue in 1968 and released in 1973.
