Biden: People are dumb, and Obama deserves sainthood for the patience he’s shown with the ACA rollout

Normally, they like to keep Joe Biden locked up. This is a good instinct, because when he gets out in front of the cameras, he starts saying the kinds of things he’s been saying over the course of the last two weeks.  Still, every now and then, they have no choice but to let Crazy Joe off his chain so he can run around the yard a bit. Friday, they let him speak before the National Association of Community Health Centers policy summit in Washington, D.C. [Continue]

Marshall Pétain v. Mitch McConnell

Mitch McConnell and NRSC to Host D.C. Fundraiser for ObamaCare Sympathizer Thom Tillis

Tonight, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) headquarters is hosting a fundraiser for North Carolina moderate and Senatorial candidate Thom Tillis. Headlining the fundraiser invite was a "who's who" of beltway establishmentarians, including Senator Mitch McConnell, Senator Lamar Alexander, and Senator Richard Burr. Attendees must pay a minimum of $1,000 per PAC or $500 per person to rub elbows with the D.C. elite.

According to the Washington Post, NRSC Chairman Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) explained today that playing in races like this one are a priority because the "map and opportunities have expanded dramatically in a year, in part because of the consequences of the Affordable Care Act."

This is an ironic statement, given that Thom Tillis effectively endorsed ObamaCare as a "great idea that can't be paid for."

"A lot can be learned about a man by looking at the company he keeps," commented Matt Kibbe, President of FreedomWorks for America. "While fiscal conservative Greg Brannon is meeting with grassroots activists from across the state of North Carolina, Thom Tillis will be in Washington D.C., rubbing elbows with the establishment Republicans who failed to take a stand in the battle to defeat ObamaCare."

"North Carolinians have to decide, do you want a Senator like Greg Brannon who will fight alongside conservatives like Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul on the Senate floor to defeat ObamaCare? Or do you want a Senator who schmoozes alongside progressive Republicans like Mitch McConnell and Lamar Alexander at swanky cocktail parties?"

All begging the question:  What was worse:  The Nazis occupying France, or Marshall Pétain's Vichy government?  Same thing.

Au Contraire

LOVE IT!

This whole article is about blame and name game. The issue can start back to the Supreme Court ruling on the ACA. The original ACA plan was never supposed to be a tax plan. The President was mad when the SC agreed to hear the case. When the vote went in the ACA favor based upon a tax ruling the Dems sang its praise. However, the SC ruled that States have some say in the matter, as they should, about the ACA law. Moving forward the roll out was a complete disaster, over $600 million was spent to fix the problem and how much more money has been spent on paid commercials for the law. Now VA law makers are fighting each side. Sad part is 7 trillion in new debt and govt has money to give to the states?

This was the lone comment  to a Virginia Pilot story about Virginia Republicans Resist Medicaid Expansion.  Thumbs-up.

              GOT BALLS?

See?  Even reports of small acts (not a small act for Seth Williams, however) of  probity by public officials are enough to perk us up a bit amidst the rampant government (Democrat) fraud, deceit, and piracy that otherwise  consumes us daily. Thank you Mr. Williams.
