Gun contol, AGW, Obama's birth certificate ....

This information squares with the findings of a Congressional Research Service (CRS) study covering the slightly shorter period of time from 1994 to 2009. For those years, CRS found that Americans purchased approximately 118 million firearms, and the 1993 “firearm-related murder and non-negligent homicide” rate of 6.6 per 100,000 fell to 3.6 per 100,000 by the year 2000. It eventually fell all the way to 3.2 per 100,000 in 2011.

That is more than a 50 percent reduction in “firearm-related murder and non-negligent homicide.”

Then, in 2009—the year the CRS study ended—Obama took office and gun sales began their climb to record levels, which made covering the gap between the 118 million guns that had been purchased by 2009 and the “170 million new guns” that Americans would own by 2015 an easy gap to bridge.

Breitbart News previously reported that there were 21,093,273 background checks for firearms in 2013 alone. And each of those checks were on buyers who could have legally purchased multiple firearms.

The overarching message is simple—more guns, less crime. Americans have purchased “170 million new guns” since 1991, and violent crime has decreased as gun ownership has increased. [FULL]

Are you shocked?  Of course not.  The opposite result would be shocking.  John R. Lott Jr.'s  book "More Guns, Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws," did shock a lot of people in 1998, because the media still reported some"bad news" in 1998.  Lott's book caused  panic amongst the gun-grabber lobby.   But wait!

Just two years later the gun control cavalry  responded with Emory University professor Michael Bellesiles book "Arming America: The Origins of a National Gun Culture.Lott lied, and people died! Joy in Slugville. John Lott was pantsed.   But wait!

A report written a few years later by scholars from  Harvard, Princeton and the University of Chicago, said Bellesiles' failure to cite sources for crucial data "does move into the realm of 'falsification."' It also suggested he omitted other researchers' data that contradicted his arguments.  Emory U. forced  Bellesiles to resign, tenured or not. He resigned.

Okay, I'm just showing off; this is all stuff you knew.  The real story, I think, is that in 2015 the hard core Lib media will no longer report  stuff like "ATF and FBI data showing Americans have purchased “170 million new guns” since 1991, and violent crime has fallen '51 percent;'”  They just won't; because their clientèle do not like bad news.  La la la la la.

Don't worry, there are people hard at work in Chicago and other urban areas to bring those violent crime stats back up where they belong! And if Americans can't do the job, there are plenty of recent arrivals who will help get the job done.

OK, so we've got plenty of law-abiding, legally-armed citizens out there, and just the criminals' awareness of that has served to deter many crimes and bring down the crime statistics. What we need now is more criminals actually being shot by legally-armed armed citizens.

Their last gasp is the "Gun Show Loophole" which simply means that private citizens can buy, sell, trade and gift firearms among themselves without government approval. Liberals hate freedom.

Not to belabor the (also) well known point, but IF certain racial demographics were "removed" from those stats, the crime rate here in the US would look more like something from Switzerland...(I started to say the UK, but everybody knows they lie about their stats for violent crime.)

Next time you hear a liberal trot out this falsehood "gun show loophole" tell them the "gun show loophole" is a liberal myth, there is no loophole, and then give them this analogy. Marijuana is now legal in Colorado & Washington but not in other states. Suppose some self righteous politician asshole from a state that currently has marijuana illegal appeared on tv and started screaming "We have a drug loophole, because people can go to Colorado and Washington and buy dope."

There! Is! No! Loophole!

It! Is! Legal!

If we ever allow legislators to pass a law requiring private citizens to demand background checks to people they sell guns to, in effect we would be issuing gun registration, since the govt would HAVE to know who owns guns in order for the sell to take place.

Piss on all liberals for advancing their agenda so underhandedly.
Piss on all Republicans for not standing their ground and fighting this crap.

She's way too young for me, but still, I'd like to meet the gal in the photo; she looks like my kind of woman.

And that M&P Shield is a very respectable piece of hardware.

Well, that's one perfectly GOOD way to ruin a camel toe...
