Once a favorite read, I've long since quit caring about Red State's GOPe opinions.  Still, I continue to receive morning capsules, and this morning's ... wellschadenfreudal.

RED STATEe .. blah blah blah Posted by Rodger the Real King of France | 5/04/2016 09:21:00 AM | PERMALINK Back Link (7) | Send This Post | HOME

Writing in Righteous Indignation, Breitbart noted that, “the left doesn’t win its battles in debate. It doesn’t have to. In the 21st century, media is everything. The left wins because it controls the narrative. The narrative is controlled by the media. The left is the media and narrative is everything.”
I agree. I read it since the git go but they have gotten a little rough. Erik (no longer at RS) was making the comparison to the KKK. Trump is goofy but not the KKK.
Erick is dead to me. I shall not miss him.
Eric was getting a little strident, but after he left the wheels are off.

Has anyone noticed that as DJT has performed better and better in the polls TDS* has gotten stronger and stronger?

*TDS = Trump Derangement Syndrome
Yes I have, Ralph. I listened to Neal Boortz for almost two decades here in Atlanta. And, he introduced his community of listeners to Erick Erickson, who also calls WSB Radio home. Next, I've listened to Mark Levin's podcast off and on for years. And I practically grew up watching George Will on This Week with David Brinkley and loved his conservative take on all things Washington, usually described using baseball metaphors.

I loved them all. Now, I can't stand listening to any of them, all because of their extremely negative views on Trump.
I try to listen to Levin and Michael Berry.. staunch Trump haters.. and their points about why Trump is a less than stellar chioice have validity. The thing that gets me is what is the alternative? My 'come to Jesus' moment when I realized that there weren't any good alteratives was when Trump had his appearance shut down in (I think) Chicago. After the hood rats did their thing Cruz and Rubio both spoke up and said basically Trump caused it (I.e. he was asking for it) rather than taking the opportunity to stand up for Trump's right to speak. Right there it showed the lowness of both of their characters. Thinking back on that night, only Carson said something to that effect.

Not that I think any of this matters. As I've pointed out here many times, it's not who votes who counts, its who counts the vote. Obama and the Democrat machine have had 8 long years to get that working real well. My prediction? At the last minute Obama will perp walk Hillary, Trump will be taken out by the media, and Sanders will walk into the White house unopposed and 'nationalize' pretty much every industry.. oil, auto, the net.. probably wrong about all this.. just my thinking.
Well done Mike C
