Family reunion week capped off yesterday with one bushel of jumbo crabs that were so delicious that  I won't even attempt to compare them with the best sex you've ever had. Others did however  (sex by a hair),

Can somebody 'splain to me, non crab eater, what the point is of seasoning the shells, which you discard, when the meat is on the inside? Does tearing the shells off preload your fingers with spices which then transfer to the meat when you go at it with your bare hands?

Good question. The answer would be that in the process of dismantling and eating them, a proper amount of Old Bay seasoning is transferred to each delicious morsel, which also leads to drinking more beer. It's a beautiful thing.

I spent the summer of '75 at Pax River. We regularly waded in knee deep water with a beer in one hand and a dip net in the other. And then stuffed our selves! The RKOF knows I jest.
