I can still smell em. It's the smell of a test coming at you. Those teachers paddled you with the same hand they cranked that thing with. -Anymouse

I was on the Howdy Doody show once, shortly before Buffalo Bob's heart attack knocked him off the air for a long time. We sat in the first row of the Peanut Gallery, in seats 3 and 4. An NBC executive's kid was in seat 1, Buffalo Bob was in seat 2, sister Lucinda was in seat 3, and I was in seat 4. Let me tell you, getting seats that close to Buffalo Bob was very hard, and another time I'll tell all about it.

Princess Summerfall Winterspring had already departed the show, replaced by a lady just called The Princess. All the others were there, and we had a great time.

Hey, Skoonj, I was on the Howdy Doody Show too! But I was also on Rootie Kazootie (sp.?), who was sort of the Brand X Howdy Doody.

And (around the time we were at JHS 104) I was an actor in one of the gags on Merv Griffin's "Play Your Hunch"; my dad was in one also. How many can make that claim!

Stu, yes I remember Rootie Kazootie. I liked the show. I think it was on around mid day. They once had a song, Daniel The Cocker Spaniel. It was funny as hell because I heard it with my best friend, Danny Bickman.

I was almost on Morey Amsterdam's show. My sister Lucinda was on, but I wasn't selected because they thought I would be hard to deal with.

I was on the John Henry Falk show twice. I didn't think it was enjoyable, but they asked me on a second time. Falk got caught up in the who is a communist stuff in the 1950s, and completely denied being one. But Orson Bean came on Johnny Carson one night and said Falk should remember being at a couple of communist front meetings. He should remember since Bean went to the meetings with him, being also a communist at the time. Next I heard of Falk, he was a semi-regular on Hee Haw, as some sort of old story teller.
