Sounds like some dumbasses brought pistols to a rifle fight.
I wonder how the homeowner managed a concealed carry of an AR?
Happy ending, though.
I usually carry concealed, but once in a while around the house I open carry, and wife, seeing the gun, always says "Why are you carrying a gun?"
I remind her of the sad story of the Harvey family, whose home, about two miles from here, was invaded by two recently released felons. Husband, wife, two children tortured, raped and murdered over a two day period.
I can't seem to get it through her head that when a home invasion/robbery/drive-by shooting happens, it's swift, violent and unexpected, and a gun upstairs in a drawer or a cop a few minutes away aren't good enough.

That was a great video and the capper of it was the end where the newscaster said "Wow, close call for that homeowner" and not one negative peep about the return fire.
