If you have a young boy, you've probably watched Disney's Cars 2 about a thousand times.  For those who don't know, at the movie's end (an obligatory spoiler warning here), Sir Miles Axlerod is exposed as a fraud when he's forced to open his hood by Mater, the hayseed hick.  Hold that thought.

Three possibilities follow the bombshell discovery that Barack Obama was promoted in 1991 through 2007 by his professional agency as an author "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."  (1) Obama untruthfully presented himself as Kenya-born.  (2) Obama untruthfully presents himself as Hawaii-born.  (3) Obama had no knowledge that his bio contained the 16-year-old "error" which was corrected in April of 2007, when Obama was gearing up his campaign for the U.S. presidency.

Of the three possibilities, number three may be discarded on its face as absurd.  [...]
  Prior to the Breitbart bombshell, we had countless oddities and anomalies.  There's the African folklore: African newspapers, officials, and paternal family members have indicated that Obama was born in Mombasa.  There are no living witnesses to Obama's Hawaii birth.  There's the island state with a documented history of registering foreign births as Hawaiian.

The Great Buck Howard  (2008) drew my attention because ... how could I have missed even hearing about a film starring John Malkovich and Tom Hanks?  But, hell, it could have won 10 Academy Awards, and I wouldn't have known it. As it turns out, Tom appears in the movie, one must assume,  to give a boost to son Colin's first (?) major acting job; he plays the father of Buck's road manager (Colin).  Malkovich plays mentalist Buck Howard, a character loosely based on, we learn in the movie credits,  the Amazing Kreskin.  I watched in bits and starts at first, but then that's how I watch most things.  Last night I was in a mood to pay attention, and was pulled in to it.  In fact, I ended up giving it 4 NetFlix stars (I really like it). It was fun, had a fun ending, and Malkovich was Malkovich.  PG

I'm always on the lookout for  MoSup-Flicks, aka chick-flicks.  That's so when she says let's watch a movie I'll have stuff lined up.  BTW, I like chick flicks too, much of the time.  The Treatment (2006) was one of them.  The protagonist,  Jake Singer,  is seeing a shrink who, as a deus ex machina, is  constantly  offering advice to Jake.   I see that it's NR, but I would give it a PG (some language).

Northside Independent School District plans to track students next year on two of its campuses using technology implanted in their student identification cards in a trial that could eventually include all 112 of its schools and all of its nearly 100,000 students.

District officials said the Radio Frequency Identification System (RFID) tags would improve safety by allowing them to locate students — and count them more accurately at the beginning of the school day to help offset cuts in state funding, which is partly based on attendance.

And this is in Texas for chrisake.  San Antonio must be in one of those counties where Lyndon Johnson received 118% of the vote.  If I was writing a novel, members of the school board would be given rides on government drones which would be quickly shot down by Judge Napolitano's band of patriots.  It would be fiction of course, because in real life we'll go on thanking the people who strip us of all freedom in exchange for free Band-Aids. And it would be unlawful too, of course.

I laughed at the $4.26 "value shipping" cost of $4.26, but it was still cheaper than Amazon.  Only problem was - your home telephone number is mandatory.  So I gave them my uber-liberal neighbor's,  and had a pleasant chuckle at the phone solicitations lists he was now on. FWIW.

In two campaign speeches over the last two days, President Barack Obama has twice mistakenly mentioned “my sons” when defending his administration’s regulation requiring virtually all health-care plans in the United States to provide women, without any fees or co-pay, with sterilizations and all Food and Drug Administration-approved contraceptives, including those that can cause abortions.

I got that old news clip from a Kenyan taxi driver working in Palm Beach, FL.  He only spoke in Swahili, with some fractured English. I think he said two of these guys  are his sons  Chilemba "kid fool," and   Chitundu "sick as hell" Obama?  It looks official, so I believe it.

Cognizant as I am that there are pot enthusiast regulars here, whom I love dearly (in a manly way),  the fact remains that it's use is against the law.  Using pot then, at its core, reflects an attitude of "I' will decide what laws to obey."   That's a trait Barry exhibits in spades today.  Since I despise him, and his presidency, anything else I say will be rejected as biased.  Interpolate.

Obama's EEOC Goes After Coffee Chain For Hiring Too Many Attractive Women

Start laughing.

Back during the Clinton years the EEOC went after Hooters for its alleged hiring bias (we all remember how hard Bill Clinton was on women . . . uh, let me re-phrase that). Hooters refused to hire men to wear the infamous “orange short-shorts and white tank-top” ensemble. The EEOC spent four years pressuring them to hire male waiters, which would have ruined the Hooters concept.

Hooters tried reasoning and logic. As one would expect when dealing with bureaucrats, they failed miserably. So Hooters turned to anther weapon: mockery.

They put up billboards showing what a hairy, beer-bellied guy would actually look like in Hooters garb. They took out newspaper ads showing a bearded guy in a blonde wig and Hooters T-shirt saying “Come on, Washington. Get a grip.”

It worked. The EEOC stayed just as stupid — still insisting that Hooters was doing something wrong — but it became clear that if they kept pushing the stupidity, Congress might step up and take away some of their power. So the EEOC “quietly ended its investigation,” according to the Los Angeles Times.

Today, dimwit EEOC attorneys in yet another Democratic administration are at it again — this time in Massachusetts. [Full]

When I booted up this morning there was yet another Zone Alarm pop-up trying to sell me something.  That, along with what has become a very slow start up process led me to Google "Zone Alarm alternatives."  That led me Major Geeks.com. The first freeware on their list is Advanced System Care.  I watched the above video.  I sprang. (Don't take the FREE SCAN - it's an ad selling something else)

Something you should know.  I've used CC Cleaner to clean trash and fix registry problems for years.  In fact, I do the registry scan daily and have a zero tolerance, so I always leave with "No problems."  That's something you can't do, I'll wager; the typical computer will have about a million problems listed.  I also use AVAST, and they annoy me with pop-ups that tell me they updated me every two hours, it seems.  If you turn the auto update off, you'll miss the notice that your license has expired and the Windows Security deal will threaten to kill you.

I spent about three hours running every module available.  Where CC Cleaner found no problems, ASC found several hundred.  Around this time I decided to spring for the $12.95 and get the  Pro version, which only offers a few additional tasks, but I wanted them.  Then I removed Zone Alarm and AVAST.  My start-up time went from about 3 hours to about 60 seconds. 

I thought you should know. Yes, I know you have something better, but I don't care.  Although others might.
