McConnell Backs Obamacare against Tod Cruz

A message said the senator was experiencing a high volume of calls and directed members of the public to call back later or visit his website. It was the same story with the man who was the face of the GOP in the 2008 elections, former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. His phone was off the hook, too. Callers got a message stating his voicemail box was full. The Arizona senator apparently had other matters on his mind during the Cruz speech, tweeting, “Final episode of #Broadchurch tonight – one of the most entertaining shows on TV right now.” That prompted conservative commentator Michelle Malkin to tweet, “Meanwhile, McCain is tweeting about a TV show. See the problem here, America?” Callers to Minority Whip Sen John Cornyn, R-Texas, also got a message saying the line was busy, but at least those callers were sent to voicemail. The attached Obama short speech was delivered spontaneously and without the aid of his ubiquitous teleprompter, apparently while vacationing at Camp David. Listen carefully to his words. Give credit where credit is due, he actually makes more sense than anything he has said as President and prior to that while on the campaign trail, and it clearly defines his real international concerns and plans for the Middle East, Russia, China and the EU.     P.S. Earlier I began rummaging thought my "Cartoon"  file from the years 2002-2005.  I just scooped a bunch of them up, thinking some might enjoy a stroll down memory lane.   Amazing how we seem to be plowing the same political ground today.  The best, IMO, are two Micky Mouse strips from long ago (I knew dates when I posted them, but am too lazy to find that post). With the exception of inserting Clinton's name as the rapist in one panel, they are the work of Walt Disney in a dark mood.
