Belafonte, AARP, and Democrats

Harry Belafonte Humanitarian It's been two and a half years since Harry Belafonte, 78, serenaded an audience with "Day-O," but you could hardly say he has retired. In fact, these days he's busier than ever, speaking out against civil injustice and traveling as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. "There's no question that of all the agencies within the UN, UNICEF is the most compelling, the most successful, and the most dynamic," he says. Belafonte speaks with some authority, having been associated with the organization since 1987, not long after he spearheaded the classic concert and recording of "We Are the World," which raised more than $100 million for famine relief worldwide. [AARP Impact Award]   Best line:  This morning on Fox & Friends Brian Kilmeade said, in response to Belafonte's assertion that "millions of Americans" support Venezuela's communist revolution, "There are not millions of Americans who know where Venezuela is."  But, back to AARP (Amer Assoc Retired People) ... The people who run AARP are full blown leftists who use their considerable resources to advance liberal legislation, so it's no wonder they find much to admire in  Harry Belafonte, a man who may speak for Democrats, but who  is despised by real Americans.  Anyway, E.D. Hill related this story about AARP this morning.  AARPsent out  a press release - meant only for the liberal media - urging that Democrat congressmen be contacted in support of such-and-such.  E.D. somehow received the release, and  unaware that the missle was meant only for Democrats, and thinking it was a good idea for folks to voice their opinion, broadcast on Fox and Friends their plea to "contact your  representative."  Viewers did, in huge numbers, contact their Republican in congress.  According to E.D., AARP was furious.  "It makes you wonder what AARP is all about," she added. LOL. Moments later they related that every single Democrat senator on the judiciary committee refused an invitation to appear on the show to discuss the Alito hearings. That's the way Democrats like to operate, in darkness.  Think cockroach.
