Ding Dong backatcha
Ann Telnaes, our designated air-head for "Ttruth, Justice, and the American Way" ( Gus Hall ver. 1.02), gets this one right.  The cause of DeLay's demise was having in attendance at his bedside the same pack of terrified  Republicans who have made buckling under Democrat attack an art form.  If  Democrats had a single leader able to express a vision for America,  that does not require abject surrender of our remaining  civil liberties, they'd rule the nation.  But, they don't.  Tough luck Ann, you still lose.  USA USA

Here's what I really, truly believe. If Tom DeLay managed to cause Ronnie Earle, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and the entire deocratic leadership convicted and jailed for massive fraud, the Republican caucus would not elect him to dog catcher for fear of annoying the Washington Post.
