Having fun with liberall assholes

The Beast is Dead

27. Ann Coulter

Charges: The fact that Coulter is considered desirable by Republicans betrays their sick and masochistic nature. We saw Coulter in person this year, and she is a revolting skeleton with a boob job and a grotesquely oversized head, who feeds only on the hatred of her target audience, liberals. Sole redeeming quality is that she is impossible to take seriously--she's really more of a shock comic than a political commentator, whether she knows it or not.

Exhibit A: "I’m getting a little fed up with hearing about, oh, civilian casualties."

Sentence: Confined to Mississippi; forever banned from interacting with the lefty intellectuals she lives to antagonize.   The BEAST 50 Most Loathsome People in America, 2005

"OMG," I thought, "I've been listening to someone who cannot  be taken seriously, and is not as cute as, say, Molly Ivins in person!"   I vomited in self disgust.  But wait ... the # 4Most Loathsome People is ... ME!
Exhibit A: You don’t even know who your congressman is.
Rep. Wayne T. Gilchrest (R - Jerk) --  Ha!  If The Beast got that wrong, maybe he got other stuff wrong too.  What number is Ted Kennedy? .... searching ..... searching .....searching .....searching .....searching .....searching .....searching .....searching .....searching .....searching .....searching .....searching .....

"We're sorry, but no 'Ted Kennedy' made This List."

Holy Crap!  The BEAST is a charlatan, a quack,  a  flap-mouthed flirt-gill! (13. God - Exhibit A: Mosquitoes, Ralph Reed.).  What a relief.  Now I can pay attention to what Ann reveals this week.
  • In the Post, Richard Cohen said it was time for leftists to "untether abortion rights from Roe." Cohen admitted that conservatives (and "some liberals," he claimed implausibly) have a point when they say abortion ought to be decided by the states. This is another way of saying abortion is not a constitutional right. Kate Michelman: Call your abortion mill!
  • In the New York Times, William Saletan gently counseled feminists that it was time to admit: "It's bad to kill a fetus." And they say left-wingers have no values!
  • Even Jimmy Carter, the Democrats' idea of an evangelical Christian, has allowed that "I don't believe that Christ would approve of abortions." (Though Carter added that Christ would approve of abortion if "the mother's life or health was seriously endangered or the pregnancy resulted from rape or incest" – or if Jesus really, really needed the feminists to vote for him.)
  • One by one, the Democratic Party keeps having to abandon all the insane positions that have made it the funny, silly party we've come to know and love. [See List]
Yay The Beast is Dead!  USA USA USA

Hey Rodge, are Democrats going to change the 'Jesusland' map, now that Canada went Conservative?

This explains the left's fixation and their ongoing need for abortion, Susan Estrich, they'd rather listen to her whine than hear a baby's cry.

As I was driving home last night, listening to the latest liberal sound bites on the evening newscast, a thought struck me:

The reason liberals are so dismayed by the likelyhood that Judge Alito will be on the Supreme Court is that they KNOW there is no basis in Constitutional law for "Abortion Rights"! They KNOW it!

No wonder they lose their minds every time a judge who might decide the merits of an argument based on LAW...they know damn well that the first time a good case against abortion-on-demand comes up, it will be found that there is no basis for it in the law of the land.

Maybe this seems obvious to some of you, but it was a sort of stroke from the blue for me. Under all the blather and bloviating about abortion, this simple fact is the nut of the matter. So, how come none of the conservatives are willing to point that out?

Saint Ann said, "But both The New York Times and The Washington Post have recently run op-eds by liberals calling for Democrats to abandon their single-minded devotion to Roe v. Wade.'

But...but...but it's the only mind they have!

But .... I *do* think that abortion is a state issue.

Interestingly enough, though, is that even though I probably have a different position on abortion than the host of this site (Roger) and most of his readers, I do not expect that I will be flamed, harrassed or hated. Conservatives really do allow for other points-of-view. If I were an anti-abortion Liberal posting a dissenting opinion on KOS (for example), I'd be attacked ruthlessly.

I actually felt dumber after reading that list, until I realized that I was number 4, as well.

Now I feel inspired.
