Rob Reiner, still a meathead.
In an editorial titled ''Meathead Economics,'' today's WSJ  looks at Rob Reiner's efforts to take from New York the title, ''Most Confiscatory  State (CA is currently holding the number 2 spot).''-  How does this affect Californians [duh]-
''The latest Census Bureau data indicate that, in 2005, 239,416 more native-born Americans left the state than moved in. California is also on pace to lose domestic population (not counting immigrants) this year. The outmigration is such that the cost to rent a U-Haul trailer to move from Los Angeles to Boise, Idaho, is $2,090 -- or some eight times more than the cost of moving in the opposite direction.''
The article itself falls under the category ''Kindergarten Level Economics," for even the half educated [I said educated, not schooled], but that evidently excudes a  majority of Californians.  Oh, I'm sorry, I'm excluding all their most reliable voters .. let me try again.
El article sí mismo cae bajo categoría de dicha ' para uniforme el medio educado [ educado de I economía ' llana "de Kindergarden, no enseñada ], pero ése deja evidentemente a mayoría de californians hacia fuera en el frío.
Also discussed is how Reiner is using ''taxpayer dollars to lobby for more taxpayer dollars.''  Probably illegally.

That's all. I principally  wanted you to read that deliciously presented U-Hail statistic.

..Governor ...how about taking a stand against the June tax-increase initiative?

That man crumbled after our special election (state of the state speech) and he should'nt have. Redistricting is crucial here if we're going to stop the CA native/business hemorrhaging. This really isn't such a blue state ya know. The voting districts choke out conservative votes and send business revenue to NV,TX,AZ, etc.

Great grandma born in 1886 in S.F.,CA. We're leaving in the next 1-2 yrs. TX and FL are 1st choices so far. If our son moved to, Austin, TX, (example) his IT career would allow him to purchase a home; very difficult here.

As, you pointed out, the proof is in the pudding:
"...the cost to rent a U-Haul trailer to move from Los Angeles to Boise, Idaho, is $2,090 -- or some eight times more than the cost of moving in the opposite direction." Incredible!! joyce

Rodger,
A long time ago you posted a pic of the fence on the CA/Mexico border with people climbing over it. At the time I commented that it might not be of illegals coming in but Kalifornians getting out. I rest my case!

I'll bet the Hollywood Left uses every two-bit tax shelter their expensive accountants can find. Given shooting locations worldwide and the infamous trumped up expenses to diminish movie profits, there's probably tons of out-of-state income that stays out of state. They probably have post office box residences in no-state-income-tax states, are incorporated in the Cayman Islands, and on and on.

I'll guarandamntee you they don't pay their "fair share" and put their money where their lying hate-America Leftist mouths are. I don't agree with much of what Michael Savage says or the way he presents it, but he's right about Hollywood being an open sewer spewing filth. I wish they would renounce their citizenship as threatened and get the hell out. Shoot; there's another example of their lying.

I'm a native Californian, but got driven out when that last rent increase hit on my little apartment. The crowding, the rudeness, the fact that most of the San Ferando Valley has a Tijuana Bazaar look to it, and there is the language barrier. I don't just mean the lack of English, but the "English" the native children and teens are speaking. They are so badly educated they can't compose declarative sentences. Their parents don't care.

Things improved when I got a job offer from a firm in Tennessee. I spent all of about 10 seconds making that decision, and got out last July.

re U-Haul: I had a reservation for a trailer in 3 weeks in advance of pickup and I still had to go 130 miles one way to pick one up. The U-Haul yards were virtually empty in SoCal.
