Where I eat humble pie and nuke the NorKs.

When I think I can't possibly be more angry--arghhhh!
Kind of stuff that makes me want to be an isolationist no matter what.

So,Rodge, you're saying we've been tracking shiny objects like so many schooling fish in the water? That the bait isn't real?
Perhaps, somewhere between the MSN's exploitation of non-news and
under-reporting of 'actual' information, we've been duped? Add to that the White House missing the mark to inform the public on a (should've been recognized as) touchy topic.
Hmmmm. I've considered this. I understand the purchase of a company, previously owned by Brit's, BUT, in view of current events, I fully understand a fear all things Islamic. And that's just hard to get past. joyce - 2/22/06, 9:58 AM

Joyce - yes, and I wouldn't have done it myself - because I have no hope of a rapprochement with Islam. Ever. But, I have not assumed power yet, so it's Bush's decision. It's an education thing, IMO, and this country no longer reads from the same text books, even when the teacher gets around to teaching a lesson, so confusion reigns. That puts a heavy burden on me, because it means eventually I have to nuke all but 572 people on Earth (You get to be one of the survivors ... you too Mary).

I think this is a case of watching the left hand while the right hand is actually doing something.
I am sure that the dems are grasping ahold of what they can finally claim as "thier" national security issue...
I just cannot buy that the Pres would sell us out like this, or that he just missed the ball on this one. I can't.
But I also feel like puking for being on the same side as the Peanut Boy...

Malkin pretty well destroys the WSJ position on the topic today.

The ports: believe the sale showed up in business pages back in early December. Latest news is that 12 separate depts gave okays; Pres. and Congress only found out recently, as there are NO REQUIREMENTS to notify them.
On Korea: further we get away from the mid-50's, the less anyone knows or remembers about what the US did for the South. Knew some guys who froze their butts there (Chosin), and others who did duty on the DMZ in the '70s. Let's just walk away. Strange, isn't it, that Japan is now our "best friend" in that area!
