Booze and Driving - a good thing
At the end of Fox & Friends this morning, E.D. blurbed about learning how to make your own ethanol - for 70¢ a gallon [on tomorrow's show, I guess].  My first thought was, USA USA.  This may not be what they're talking about, but dammit, I think I'll actually try this.  Here's the cynical part.  If it works, and a whole bunch of us do it, and gasoline tax revenues go down, what will happen?  That's right.  The gummint will add 20 layers of tax and regulation on it.  But, there's a good part to offset that bad part.  You can drink it too.  USA. USA!

In the Democrats' Saturday radio address, Sen. Maria Cantwell of Washington called on Congress to make price gouging a federal crime, to end "the huge tax breaks for big oil," and to provide incentives to produce lightweight, efficient materials and cars that run on either ethanol or gasoline.

The Hyatt Regency charged me $6.50 for a Bud Lite the other day. I'll agree with this proposal if they extend it hotels, bars and restaurants.

My wife's uncle used to make his own "fuel". On day the deputy came around and told him to tear it down cause the revenuers were going to inspect the area the following week. He didn't - they did - he spent a year in the slammer.
