Oily Bastards

Do you know what a hassle it is to find roll call votes, broken down by party affiliation?  I've tried this before and gave up.  This time I was determined to find out which hypocritical  bastards voted last week against allowing us to drill off our own shores - we're talking 200 miles offshore folks - for oil.  Nearly every democrat voted no, which is to be expected.  If it's good for America .... . you know.  But 94 Republican MoFos said no too, including my own RINO Wayne Gilchrist.  As we learned last month, China, Canada, and Venezuela are already drilling these waters at the invitation of Cuba.  But we can't.?  I had nothing but contempt for most of these people when I woke up, and now I have more of it.  As the WSJ points out this morning, ''Katrina was the most destructive hurricane in decades, yet it caused not a spill of oil in coastal waters. As for natural gas, it doesn't spill; it's a gas. Yet a separate measure in the Interior Department appropriations bill to allow drilling only for gas was stripped out by a vote of 217 to 203, with 59 Republicans voting to maintain the ban''.-- - "Your Congress at Work" If your Rep is named below, I suggest working for the Republican primary challenger seeking that nomination.
