 Mother Superior is in Virginia Beach with her School chums, and reported that Virgina Gas is $2.35/Gal. Now I see where it's 1.99 in Iowa. USA-UAS-USA! |

In 1910, Gasoline cost $0.10 a gallon. That would be 1/200th of a one ounce $20 gold coin.
As of today, one ounce of gold costs $590. 1/200th of that is $2.95.
It looks like gas is getting cheaper than it ever was ... -

In our neck of VA it's 2.23.

I remember when everyone was buying the VW Rabbit Diesal because gas was up to 76 cents under Carter. My boss at the time filled his from a fuel oil tank installed for that purpose. Of course, the gummint couldn't allow that.
