Some
years ago I read about an "etiquette camp" in Palm Beach,
Florida. Its mission was to teach young scruffians the basic
social graces. I entertained sending our brood, as
an investment, because breeding will out. In the end we decided
to just do it ourselves, as best we could, and use the money for a new
sofa.
Du Toit has a list of everything a
young lady should know how to do, by age 21, in no specific order. I think we did okay.
