Lionel Trains

Model Trains
I LOVE TRAINS
This will appeal to maybe 2% of you, so my reason for going to the trouble is obviously altruistic.  It's about trains.  Lionel trains, and train gardens.  The work that goes into these things is mind blowing.  The film is in two parts. Engineers will like it.

Great videos...When I was a kid I loved trains and to me this meant steam engines. There's nothing in the world for some of us,like a train trip.I rode them 4 times, the last time being when I was in the Navy in 1957,on my way to Charleston S.C.Videos brought back a lot of memories.Have also enjoyed some very good train programs on PBS from time to time. There's no sound like a train whistle on a steam engine.

Wonderful. Even the sounds are authentic.

Even if I didn't already, I'd have known you are a Marylander. It's the only place I've ever heard it called a "train garden". PS, for those of you who might travel there, "sleighs" are not pulled by horses. If you're invited to go "sleigh riding", you will be pulling it up the hill and traveling down by gravity.

Sleigh? In Maryland? I've lived here almost my entire life and everyone I know have called them "sleds".

In college we called them "cafeteria trays"....
