Best Humor Blog? Bwahaaaaaaa

Is my face red
I'll be the first to admit that I've been dead wrong about some things recently.  Dementia maybe?  For instance, 1n 2002 I was of the opinion that former President Jimmy Carter was a failed President, and even worse ex-President.  His brokered Middle East peace plan was a joke gone up in smoke, and his idiot deal with North Korea's Kim family had us paying them to develop nukes.  Then, son-of-a-bitch if he doesn't win the Nobel Peace Prize.  Wow, how did I miss that one?

Michael Moore.  I saw him as a  film maker schooled in the  Leni Reifensthal method of documentary film making.  That is to say, a propagandist for leftist causes with little regard for accuracy. Then, son-of-a-bitch if he doesn't go and win the 2002  Oscar for Best Documentary Feature.  Wow, I had him all wrong. The Academy would never have honored him if Bowling for Columbine was utterly contrived, as I saw it.

I saw Scott Ott (Scrappleface) as one of the most brilliant and funny satirists of our time.  I had never heard of Sadly No, so when it was nominated for Best Humor Blog I took a look.  It's a lefty "progressive" blog with all the humor I've come to expect from ratbastar progressives.  Sort of Bob Fertik (Democrats.com) meets Harry Reid. That kind of humor - lots of chimp jokes, and historically inaccurate grist for filler. At the time I thought, ''well Scrapple has this hands down, but at least I won't be last.''

Wow, it turns out that Sadly No is funnier than Scrapple face, IMAO, and all the others.  Sheesh, is my face red.  I don't even know funny anymore.

I used to visit Frank J's site on a daily basis. Alas, since his nuptials he has had his funny bone semi-removed by Miss Mountaineer Musings. You and SondraK are my refuges from the insanity of gummint work.

Thank you two and God bless you both over this holiday season and all seasons.

May the best days of your past be the worst days of your future. Cheers!

Darn! I bought a computer program from this guy who said he was from Project ACORN. He said it would sneak 10,000 votes in there for you like they did to elect Democrats all over the country.

Cheaters indeed...

Don't worry about it Rodger, you're still number one in my mind, but I never thought of you as a humor blog either. Humouous, definitely but infomative first. We all know lefties cheat and if you confront them about it they deny it. Show them proof and they'll say, "Yeah. So what?" You taught us that.

I voted lots for you too-- but I agree that this isn't really a humor blog-- more of a support group really.

I just read Sadly, No and didn't crack a smile. That is funny?
What passes for humor on the left is beyond me.

Before I read anymore commments, I MUST comment to El Jefe....
You are correct sir! Frank J's funny bone has been modified since his "T-shirt Babe" (find a girlfriend) contest winner worked out. :D They seem like sweet folks, but the funny bone is on prozak. Unlike C&S where the prozak contributes. :)) Juice

TFV, a support group? HA! good one.

Rodger, you are the Headmaster of this blog and a fine one at that. I used to like sitting at the back of class, but because of you, I've moved to the middle and am inching my way to front row. ;) Juice

Cheating is the only way to justify this sacrilege. I voted early and often for C&S...just like I always do.

I would not place any value in that award. I assure you the winner is not funny and I am not saying that because it is a lefty blog. I have found humor in some of those but none at the winner of this award. I assure you Roger is funnier and also perveys common sense.

I think Rogers blog is many things it is funny so it fit right in with the humor category but it is also much more than that.Roger zeros in on the corupt and disgraceful segment of our world and country. He is the first alert to warn us of the degrading of our culture and country.Christ admonished us to be faithful to the end to not give up in other words. I see Rogers work here while humorous as a call to be aware and be alerted to things that would deminish and destroy us. The winner of this award as far as I can see serves no purpose other than to help push our society and country just further over the cliff.Nothing of substance or value.

Thanks all, but I viewed my inclusion in this contest as a joke (that I enjoyed), and had zero expectations. I voted 3 times I think - twice for Scrapple and once for SondraK. Here I am just making fun of the god-awful Sadly No winner.

Well, _Jon,

I have to admit that I'd promised Frank J a pic of Rummy with Frank's "Nuke The Moon" shirt. However, I have a grudge with him as I sent him a pic of myself and CINCHOUSE (guns a'ready at the bar with a bottle of bourbon) in his shirt and he never posted it. Thus, my 'bro' (who works directly for 'The Man') has never received the shirt and now will never get the snap.

C'est le guerre...
