Seattle Lenin

More good deeds
Lenin goes down
I cannot express enough how offended I am over  Seattle Lenin .  That it has been allowed to stand says just about all anyone needs to know about that city's politics.  Since I've been cyber adventuring as a way of keeping whatever sanity I have, last night I cut it down with a hack saw.  Here's what's left.

I live in Seatle, and actually have to avoid the Freemont area as seeing the statue of Lenin there has caused me to go into a froathing rage more than once...

One of these days, I'm going to rent a largish U-Haul or similar truck, and "accidently" careen into the statue at whatever flank speed I can get from the truck.

Forget what political association comes attached to Lenin and rather look at it for what it is: a masterful handcrafted bronze statue. Besides, within twenty years this may be the last remnant of an institution that is rapidly disappearing in favor of capitalism and globalism. Think of it as a museum piece.

It defines Seattle to a great exten it is sad to say. I guess I am just a simple minded boob but anytime I see a statue cast in bronz and bigger than life it gives to the observer that this is a personage of greatness someone to be admired why else pick an individual as the subject. I think this will also be the impression to the young mind that does not know that this man was the basis for a tremendous amount of evil in the world that still dogs us to this day.

Unfortunately, Anonymous,I must say what I think it is...An undoubtedly well crafted and very expensive,in the open air for all to see, shameful testament to the avowed enemy of the U.S.A.Founder of a political system responsible for the deaths of, without a doubt, more than 50 million people.A man whose handiwork, the U.S.S.R.,caused disruption of the lives of hundreds of millions of people and the expending of trillions of dollars to contain the demon Soviet Empire from enslaving the world.I believe that except for having that job to do,the world would be a far better place today and if all that effort and concentration had been used elsewhere,we would NOT have these problems today. One never knows what history has in store, but we certainly know what it delivered in the past.Look at it for what it is indeed....What it is,is raw material, that should be melted down and used to built a statue to a world citizen who was instrumental in putting the blocks to Lenin's dream of world domination. That man is Ronald Reagan.Amen
