Asakusa cubes

Save that gym locker

Keep it up down there
Japan seems to be a land of opportunity for the savvy American. Where else can you take some old gym lockers and turn them into a hotel?    "Rooms" at the Asakusa Riverside are $30/night, but that includes in cube tv, body soap and shampoo.  Adjoining "glory hole" cubes are also only $30/night.  Tel:+81(03)3844-5117 for reservations.

These are for the men who end up out drinking too late and miss the last train. It's either sleep it off at the train station, or take a $100+ cab home since they all live so far away from where they work.

They are glass precisely so they don't turn into glory holes.

Have had to crash in them myself a few times while over there.

Doesn't make 'em any less odd.
