Muslim demands

Today's Peek into our Future
A month ago :

Amid the cheering Northwestern football fans at Ryan Field, all Ashar Wasi wanted was a quiet place to pray. The only place he could find was a spot of less-than-clean floor in a public walkway.

"We had to pray in front of the concession stand, in front of all the people," the McCormick junior said.

Perhaps someone noticed. At last Wednesday's ASG meeting, the Muslim-cultural Students Association proposed a bill establishing a designated prayer area at Welsh-Ryan Arena for Muslim students for football and basketball games.

McSA President Amir Siddiqui estimates more than 20 Muslim students are in attendance at nearly every game.
This week
Athletic officials will not establish a designated prayer space for Muslim students at sporting events held at Ryan Field and Welsh-Ryan Arena, said John Mack, Northwestern's associate athletic director of external affairs.

Instead, officials will grant certain concessions, such as allowing prayer rugs into the stadiums and letting students pray in places that do not block traffic flow.
Coming soon
Construction began today on the $220 million dollar additions to Prince Saud Field and Obama Rama Arena that will provide prayer space for Muslim students at Northwestern football and basketball games.

I can safely make that prediction by drawing on Europe's experience with never ending demands placed by insurgent Muslim populatons, and our own history of allowing vocal minorities, armed with nothing more than politically correct looniness, and championed by the left media, to wear us down.

Rodge,

The never-ending demands are inevitable. They will never stop.

You can see this via ANY social-oriented interest group that advocates for change. They are never happy, and nothing is ever enough. I would love to see a civil rights organization publish a LIST of changes that, when they succeed, would cause everyone in the organization to throw a big party, and then turn out the lights and walk out the door. Abolish the organization as a succees.

No.

These people become Borg'ed into the organization. Advocating for becomes the only thing that they do. Their livelihood depends upon their continued protests and actions, throughout decades. It is self-perpetuating. It never ends. Once they succeed - at ANYTHING - they simply choose a different goal, and keep on going.

It will never stop. CAIR and any other Muslim advocacy group will follow the same pattern. But they appear, at least for now, to be astonishingly aggressive in their demands. Outrageously aggressive! And so they will irritate us all extremely.

In a related story NCAA officials said they would entertain a mascot change to "The Blackmailing Jesse Jackson's" or "The Jag-offs".
