I found her argument positively childish. Trying to conflate rank/pay grade with billet/duty position with the line, "...Once a general, always a general," was about as lame as it gets.
She might want to ask that former general who got busted back to Colonel and allowed to retire after Abu Ghraib about that.
Perfectly logical to me, guys. Clinton clone. Whaddya 'spect?
Ghod ruined the perfect prick when he put ears on Waxman.
I guess stoo doesn't care what the law states. And it is clear that the concept of billet/duty position is too complex.
Let me try to explain it in a way that he can understand. When I was in the military, I served in several positions that had a heightened security clearance requirement. I had access to information based on that clearance. Then when I moved to a different billet/duty position, I no longer had access to that information. It was not part of MY job.
For Mrs Wilson to state that she was a covert agent because she had been one at some time in the past points to either poor training (she didn't understand the concept), poor memory (she didn't know when she was no longer in a protected billet), or willful disingenuousness (she had a book deal that depended on her victimhood).
Anyone that would make a movie from this twat is an idiot. opps i forgot Susan Serrandon and a bev of other idiots.I mean what would the movie be about her filing papers in some dreary office then in the evening heading down to the park with some pimple faced dude and a six pack of black Lable and head in the backseat. Action packed.
What part of my contention that Plame's argument was childish led yo to think I don't care what the law says, anon?
While I thank you for your military service, left out some. In my military experience -- both as a staff puke and operator -- I too had access to comparted information, one instance would be my time as the NCOIC of the S-2. When I moved from that position to an operational position I no longer had access to that information. In that new position, I had access to different compartmented information, as required.
It was Plame that made the silly "Once a general..." argument, not I. I was refuting it.
stoo-
Sorry about the flame. I thought you were were talking about Ms Toensing (who tried valiantly to hammer some information in Waxhead's brain, although he fought just as hard to prevent any insight). You are right, it was Mrs Wilson who made the idiotic statement.
I just hope the movie is better than her testimony...
Waxman pulled out all the stops.Used everything he's got including the 'oink'.
