Al Gore Pledge

The Pledge

A leading skeptic of global-warming science is challenging celebrity activists such as Al Gore and Sheryl Crow to lower their "carbon footprint" to the same level as the average American by Earth Day in April 2008.
"I simply believe that former Vice President Al Gore and his Hollywood friends who demand we change the way we live to avert this over-hyped 'crisis' not only talk the talk, but walk the walk," said Sen. James M. Inhofe, Oklahoma Republican.
"How hard is it for these elitists to become as frugal in their energy consumption as the average American? I think the American public has a right to know they are being had." [Inhofe dares Hollywood to take warming pledge]

Don't hold your breath.  The video is Gore's answer to the same request.

Did he ever get around to answering the question? I don't give a gnat's ass the color of the energy he uses or how many carbon offsets he buys from himself, he's still a fargun hypocrite. You would think that by now someone would have told this idiot that it isn't a good idea to be promoting the idea that the rich get to pollute all they want and everyone else must live in a hole in the ground.

BTW Rodger, these vids that play automatically don't cut it. When I open your page they start playing and I have to scroll down quickly to find it. Then I can't replay or pause it and there is no link to the source. Then if there are two or more on the page, as there is right now, I get the audio to all of them at once.

They are not supposed to play automatically? I only use the embedded player as a last resort. Lately Smart Video is not accepting new entries and I'm not one to wait. Sorry. Are you using IE, Firefox or Windows?

Darn
That don't even happen to me and am a puter moron. Wonder what causes that?

I have not encountered the automatic play with either IE6 or Firefox 2.0

Rodge,
The autoplaying started for me late last week. I hadn't changed anything. It didn't do it this morning, but now it does again.

Also in addition,
The autoplay is on the Hillary bit and the soccer bit. It used to do it on the ObamaRodham and the O'Reilly bits, but not any more.

Auto start would be "1"
As you see, it's "0" -

No autostarts, now.
You're a IE genius, man.
(Shh... just say "You're welcome.")

Isn't this on a par with the rich people that sent a slave in to fight "their part" in the civil war rather than go themself? Buy "offsets" rather than reduce and conserve like the unwashed masses? Always the same with the "affluent" - do what I say, not what I do - I'm WAY more important than you and deserve more.......everything. Disgusting!
