Brits dump on Algore - Sid Vicious

Hear hear

This video has represented for me what ''Mother
(for us plank owners) England'' has become. If you stomach it to the end, South Korea too, evidently.  But there has been good news of late.  Yesterday it was Brit doctors refusing to kill babies, and today it's regular Emmas and Harolds who've recognized evil and rebelled against it.  USA!  UAS!  USA!

School row over Al Gore film

Parents who claim that an award-winning film on climate change is inaccurate and politically motivated are threatening a legal challenge over the Government's decision to send it to every secondary school.

The film by Al Gore, the former US vice-president, won an Oscar for the best documentary this year and Alan Johnson, the Education Secretary, says he wants teachers to use it to stimulate children into discussing climate change and global warming.

But a group of parents in the New Forest say the circulation of the film by the Government amounts to political indoctrination and is in breach of the Education Act 2002. Derek Tipp, their spokesman, has urged Mr Johnson to stop the film being sent out.

He said: "The film goes well beyond the consensus view and is not therefore suitable material to present to children who need to be given clear and balanced, factually accurate information."

Once again you've put together another unique interrelation of subjects. This is what always keeps your blog refreshing, Rodge.

So, the music wasn't a problem to get through. I liked it. The ending achieved its intended purpose, to shock. Art imitating life or vice versa. Yep, Sid Vicious-Cho Seung-Hui-Algore, same coin.
You da bomb!

Well, Rodger, you've re-enforced a belief, long held by me, on at least one point, from which I can speak from experience. That is, Sid Vicious, though he tried mightily, was not, in the final analysis, quite the musical genius that I turned out to be.

Timely, cutting commentary there, Rodger.

And although I'd heard of Sid Vicious, I'd never seen or heard him before. What a no-talent ugly wanker.

Tailgunner: That's just an actor in the movie "Sid and Nancy" chronicling the infamous Sid Velcro and Nancy Spungehead.

Thanks Mo - I'm totally ignorant about that part of the music world.
