Doctors revolt against abortions

Let There Be Light

Out of the sump into which rotting Britain seeps there comes a sludge.  A rich, magnificent sludge.  Perhaps the fabled primordial ooze from which England will recreate its majesty!  Behold.

Rising numbers of doctors are refusing to carry out abortions, leading to a crisis in NHS provision.

The stance by staff, taken on ethical grounds, has led to a doubling of abortions carried out by private clinics, according to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

The swell of medical staff joining the unprecedented moral revolt means that there may soon not be enough doctors to carry out sufficient terminations to meet the public demand.  [The abortion rebellion: NHS doctors refuse to carry out terminations]

A ray of hope on a sad day.

Woah! At first I laughed at that picture, then something primal happened to me. It made me want to cry and it made me want to bash heads in. It isn't funny at all because things like that happen for real all too often.
The post is heartening news though.

Alas-- how many of these 'rising number' of doctors are simply Mooselimbs from Pakistan or similar? Of the kind of doctor who also refuses to treat American patients because of the war in Iraq and calls that 'ethical'? So that it has nothing to do with anti-abortion and much to do with imposing their Shari'a on us?

I think the expression I'm looking for is 'doing right for the wrong reason.'

That has to be the case. In a country where you get jailed for self-defense and are not allowed to give away piggy banks lest they offend a certain unnamed religous sect, these guys would be serving time in the Tower if they were native.
