Moveon.org and Newsweek

Ten Reasons Why You Shouldn't Burn Newsweek To The Ground

1 .  ?

But first, some fun.

The idiots at moveon.org -a group founded to oppose the impeachment of Clinton for breaking the law- is now sponsoring a poll on impeaching George Bush -- because they disagree with him.

I urge you... no beg you.. to vote YES early and often as W. C. says, "MorOn.org and the Kos kids drive the Democratic Congressional agenda. If we can get them focused on impeachment, it will distract them from passing bad laws."

Every good conservative should vote 2 or 3 times on this one. (WIZBANG)

It's one thing to have fun at the expense of a bunch of George Soros knob polishers, quite another when a mainstream outlet like Newsweek does it. The May 5th poll showing George Bush at 28% was at odds with every other poll (Rasmussen had him at 40%). Using its own poll, Newsweek then was able to concoct this chimera.

A majority of Americans believe Bush is not politically courageous: 55 percent vs. 40 percent. And nearly two out of three Americans (62 percent) believe his recent actions in Iraq show he is “stubborn and unwilling to admit his mistakes,” compared to 30 percent who say Bush’s actions demonstrate that he is “willing to take political risks to do what’s right.” <snip>The NEWSWEEK Poll finds each of the leading Democratic contenders beating the Republican frontrunners in head-to-head matchups. ... *snip*

Like Obama, Edwards defeats the Republicans by larger margins than Clinton does: the former Democratic vice-presidential nominee outdistances Giuliani by six points, McCain by 10 and Romney by 37, the largest lead in any of the head-to-head matchups. Meanwhile, Sen. Clinton wins 49 percent to 46 percent against Giuliani, well within the poll’s margin of error; 50 to 44 against McCain; and 57 to 35 against Romney.

blah-blah-blah

All we're missing here is Dan Rather doing the intro, as it turns out.  In conducting this poll, Newsweek contacted half again as many Democrats as Republicans. The Capitan has details.  Is there an appreciable difference between Moveon.org and Newsweek?

This is a war, baby.

It's a big circle jerk. Newsweek says something that ABC et.al. repeat ad nauseam. Or The NYT pontificates and Brian Williams genuflets. The asshats that watch the alphabets and read this garbage are already lost causes. I've had at least 5 people use that Newsweek poll in the past 2 days in discussing the war yet when I tell them dems were oversamples almost 2-1, I get this look like when my dogs hear something out of my frequency range and the cock their heads.

They are trying to sway the 8 people in the middle, Oh Bush, no one likes him. Repeat-repeat repeat. To this day you hear the creeps like Matthews saying that Bush "lied" They will never stop. Eff that, the lines are drawn baby and my choir don't sing that *hit.

long ago, during the 1990s, liberals decided that lies work...

they did the same thing for the past 6 years, undermining this President.

and it got them back in the majority in Congress in 2006.

i thought most Conservatives knew, after the Clinton experience, that the Democrats had to be completely defeated before sincere progress was to be made.

but i guess i was wrong.
