Sorry if out of sync with topic here, just wanted to make sure the late Col. Jeff Cooper had his say on the .25 ACP.
"... carry a 25 if it makes you feel good, but do not ever load it. If you load it you may shoot it. If you shoot it you may hit somebody, and if you hit somebody - and he finds out about it - he may be very angry with you."
Cooper's Commentaries Vol. 4,#14, Dec. 1996
Cooper was a hero around my house growing up. I miss him alot already. Best part of G & A was flippin to his article. Saddest of all things is that my Dad who taught me all things Cooperish now carries a .25. He has Parkinsons and I guess waving a .45 around kinda scares him now. If I get to the point where I can't use my .45 I hope someone will do me the favor of pushing my wheelchair into traffic.
I have seen more people killed by drunks w/ .22 pistols than by everyone and everything else combined.
I take it that was .22 LR. Little chunk of metal movin' fast will do some damage. Bit of difference 'tween that an a .25 tho'.
If they were sober, they would turn the nine sideways, empty the clip, and not hit anything.
But drunks?
Drunks seem to do a perfect heart-shot everytime. Third button down, small little hole, call the coroner.
