Let's Do It

How to stop illicit affairs?

Have one-hour marriages, says Iranian cleric

This is a partial explanation for why Democrats and Liberals have such an affinity for Islam over US interests.  You get to make stuff up; tailor  morality to fit the itch in your crotch.  Sort of Unitarian with cachet.

Mostafa Pourmohammadi, a cleric, said: "We have to find a solution to meet the sexual desire of the youth who have no possibility of marriage. Temporary marriage is God's rule. We must encourage that."

Sexual frustration is acknowledged as a problem by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Half the country's population of 70 million is aged under 30, there is high unemployment and many young Iranians complain they cannot afford to get married or buy a house.

For some, sigheh strikes a balance between the needs of the flesh and the legal demands of marriage.  - [Scotsman]

Already used in the Don Johnson movie "A Boy and His Dog," based on a story by Harlan Ellison.

In a post-apocalyptic world, Johnson is the only fertile male left, though there are plenty of fertile females. His marriages are very short, and not as enjoyable as he expects.

Wait a minute, the Quran says all you have to do is tell your slave wife it's quits and then your family gets to stone her to death. And you get as many wives as goats. And there ought to be plenty of broads around after Khomenni sent 300,000 12 year old boys on suicide charges against Iraq. So what's this all about? It sure as hell ain't the Persian Civil Liberties Union.
