Me

''You are so brave ..."

I've been battling what appears to be a summer cold for the last 4-5 days.  The  Guinness Record people have been here, and once again marveled over my ability to survive  monster illness that would seem unsurvivable.   The actual notation, as it will appear in future editions of their catalog,  is  "the worst cold in the history of mankind and a lesser man would have succumbed to it, not  put his own dishes in the dishwasher and walked the dog."  [Ahem, you know who you are].

All this has left me cranky and somewhat lethargic.  I'm rather amazed that the two dozen or so news items I'd pegged for comment, but lacked the strength to  act upon,  are replaced with other items desperately in need of my commentary.  There are a lot of ratbastards out there, that's for sure, but as soon as I'm cured I'll smite them with a mighty smiter.  Thank you for your indulgence.

You. Are such a soldier. Dishwasher and dog duties, while in such a state. Carry on and be well soon. :)
[We just returned from three days camping at 5200+ ft at lakeside. Wonders for the soul, but prolly wouldn't help a cold.]

Take heart.

You are at least half way thru the woods. Too bad you can't bottle it and send it to the sponsors of a certain SB#1639. Think of them with snot dripping off their chins........

Cheers!

Drink your way through it my boy! I LOVE getting a cold. It's an excuse to live in your bathrobe and drink the day away.

Even when you're sick, Rodger, you still have the Best Damn Blog on the 'net.
