Avon calling?

Of Course we'll Need Speaker Hankey's Permission, but ...

A Daring Call for Protest in Iran
IranPressNews ^

These pictures show current graffiti on walls in Tehran announcing a protest gathering against the gas rationing. It says " To protest the gas rationing, please come together on Friday at Enqelab Square at 6PM."

Writing graffiti on walls in Iran is a very serious offense, especially when it calls for protest, which is generally seen as conspiring against the government. A group calling itself Komite Mobarezat Melli Iran ( Committe of Iran's National Struggle ) has claimed to be calling for the protest. The final picture is of thousands of leaflets they printed also asking people to join the protest.

With a third carrier being deployed to the Persian Gulf, and a series of bold protests inside Iran ... . Hmmmm.

No third carrier. As I understand it, the Stennis is being rotated out.

Nobody knows. When I posted this last night the Pentagon was denying any new carrier movements. Other reports said two carriers would be replaced. The real story, I think, is the sudden visible unrest inside Iran that corresponds with the first deployment.

Rotated out? They just got there a month or so ago. I made something for the crew just about the time they left. Maybe 2 months. Still short time.
