They need to get this asshat out of the barracks. I would hate to see a bunch of good troops get hauled up on charges for stomping mudholes in his ribcage.

Peter's prolly got it right. Get him out of there, back home. No charges, it'll just make a martyr out of him.
Guard duty in Point Barrow sounds about right. Nothing like night duty on Christmas above the arctic circle. (And yes, I know that also can't happen. The army is clever tho, this guy's life isn't gonna be a bowl of lucky charms for his duration.) -
