At the Movies with Schlong - Miss Potter

Miss Potter

Last evening we watched another "chick flick," from MoSup's list of wannasees,  Miss Potter. I loved it, as did Mother Superior.  Kept waiting for Anthony Hopkins to make an appearance in this Edwardian era bio-flick about children's book authoress, Beatrix Potter (Peter Rabbit).  In lieu of saying more, I've cobbled together about 10 miniutes of this 90 minute film, starring Renée Zellweger, so you can see if it's to your liking. I keep seeing people (online that is) dissing Ms. Zellweger's looks but I think she is adorably cute. Even the squintyness works for me.
I'll have to add this one to my Netflix queue.

Well. Now I want to see it all. Was it on TV or is it a DVD?

Dang...Called my local 'dipship' rental. They say this movie came out in July but they got NO copies....Probably decided not to due to this movie's lack of pornography or any appeal whatsoever to the feebleminded. This movie also appears to have employed a writer, instead of using the normal method of using totally adlibed (drivel) dialog....Yeah. I see their point. This flick would have been damn near impossible to rent out to the hoi polloi.

MoSup tried to see it with her mother, but it was out of the theaters in a week.

Likewise with the others, it's now at the top of my Netflix queue. Such a refreshing and charming distraction from the daily hate speech of our day. Thank you MoSup and Rodger.

Without your little "trailer" I would never have found enough interest to discover this film, despite having read most of the "bunny books" through three kids (one who still requests them, at age 6).

Gonna see this one, yep.
