Hillary Rodham Clinton yesterday raised the prospect of a terror attack before next year's election, warning that it could boost the GOP's efforts to hold on to the White House. Discussing the possibility of a new nightmare assault while campaigning in New Hampshire, Clinton also insisted she is the Democratic candidate best equipped to deal with it. "It's a horrible prospect to ask yourself, 'What if? What if?' But if certain things happen between now and the election, particularly with respect to terrorism, that will automatically give the Republicans an advantage again, no matter how badly they have mishandled it, no matter how much more dangerous they have made the world," Clinton told supporters in Concord. "So I think I'm the best of the Democrats to deal with that," she added. ” In the immediate aftermath of 9-11, when even Hollywood was praising President Bush for his quick and decisive action, Bill Clinton told friends that he wished he'd had a ''9-11'' that would have allowed him to shine as a war president.  There you pretty much have it.  Bill Clinton, and now his wife, see terrorist attacks on the United States as political opportunities, and fear they may happen while someone else can get the credit. The only possible argument Hillary has to justify her boast as " the best of the Democrats to deal with that," is to admit that her husband was a feckless, and incapable leader ... .  Wait, what am I saying? "... the best of the Democrats to deal with that."  Hell, she prolly is.
