Levin: A Clear & Present Danger

Mount Pinatubo, and say his plane crashed.

Lynching by an angry mob works for me too

WASHINGTON —  The chairman of the U.S. Senate Armed Services committee said he was leaving Wednesday for Iraq to tell its leaders that they must accept responsibility for their country.

"Folks, if you want a civil war in this country, that's your choice. Count us out of your civil war. We've been here four-and-a-half years," Democratic Senator Carl Levin of Michigan told reporters Wednesday during a stop at Michigan's statehouse. [more]

Carl Levin has no constitutional authority to take this initiative, and is in fact out of control.  If the President asks me ...

Maybe Carl could be given a "tour" I could live with this headline "US Senator Held Hostage" and under it, "Bush refuses to deal with terrorists"

With a lake depth of about 2000 feet, that'll work for me.

Rog,

When I got home today, there was a ragged letter from the far side of the world with "FREE" scratched up in the corner where a stamp usually goes. It was from my son in Iraq. After five months, his battalion has had their first KIA, and three WIA's, one of which was his best friend Fergie. The first round grazed Ferg's cheek, and took off the earpiece on his CVC helmet; second round hit square on the CVC, and knocked it off, the third took off one of his fingers. Ferg maneuvered his LAV to take the Islamo-nazis under fire, running over one, and killing the other four with 25mm & 7.62 fire.

Thought you'd like to know.

Thank you Casca, I include Lt. Casca in my daily prayers for our guys over there, and am proud as hell of him. My very best friend's son, also a new Marine, will be deployed in September. His dad is a multi decorated chopper pilot with the biggest set of balls of anyone I know. Still, his pride is mixed with anxiety, as I'm sure is true of you. God Bless, and prayers around!
