Cronkite's TET

But Rodge, certainly you don't mean to lump the lovable and trusted Wally Cronkite in with famous villains like Jane Fonda, John Kerry, and Sideshow Bob?
Wrong Bánh bao breath

The History Channel is running a series on American battles that are decidedly more even-handed than what we've come to expect - maybe because it's a Brit (maybe Aussie) production.  For instance,  here's a 3 minute clip that you would NEVER see on American broadcast television, or MSM . If you've ever lusted for Joey Heatherton (girls too), you already know this.  If not, it explains everything.

F--k Walter Cronkite and the MSM.
Sorry, I am a veteran of Tet68. Cronkite spent 5 days in Vietnam and knew all the answers. Tet was during my 16th month out of 18 months. I came back to the States in Mar 68, thinking we had just won the War, to read the newspaper accounts of our defeat and to see Johnson call off the bombing of the North and then announce he would not run for reelection.

The defeatest politicians and the antiAmerican MSM took our victory away from us and are at it again in the WOT.

After Desert Storm, TET is the most decisive, one sided military victory in US history, and the MSM reported it as a failure. 1968 was the time we ought to have 'refreshed the tree of liberty.' I'm dead serious.

Damage has been done unfortunately. Now the cost will be much much higher, if it ever gets paid at all.

I saw this episode in Canada two years ago.

TomR, your words made my eyes fill up. Even with restrictive ROE, especially in the air war, you combat arms guys kicked ass in SE Asia. I wish you had the victory parade you deserved, but forty years later all I can offer is my thanks for your service.

The North Vietnamese military thought that we had won the war, too, according to their memoirs published since the war. (For example, "From Enemy To Friend: A North Vietnamese Perspective on the War," by Bui Tin.

Seeing it again gives me a knot in my gut. My husband knew we were winning and he was there for two tours, in combat. He left right after Tet. Imagine his surprise when he got home and heard he and all his fellow soldiers had lost.

It makes me sick, listening to those traitors. Maybe the History Channel can do some good for once.

BTW, that was me, Stepperg, talking about my husband. I got a bit upset just thinking about the MSM and forgot to sign my name.
