Shoplifting Gull

Of all the gull!

A seagull in Scotland has developed the habit of stealing chips from a neighborhood shop.

The seagull waits until the shopkeeper isn’t looking, and then walks into the store and grabs a snack-size bag of cheese Doritos.

Once outside, the bag gets ripped open and shared by other birds.

The seagull’s shoplifting started early this month when he first swooped into the store in Aberdeen, Scotland, and helped himself to a bag of chips. Since then, he’s become a regular. He always takes the same type of chips.

Customers have begun paying for the seagull’s stolen bags of chips because they think it’s so funny.

you mean CRISPS. Chips are french-fries when in Scotland laddie.
Crisps are packaged tater-chips, etc.

I'm in there with you Rodger. Oh well, thanks anyway for the post; it is hilarious. Of course, if they had better social programs for the poor birds over there, they wouldn't be forced to steal!

Saw that a snopes and watched the "long version." Those seagulls are everywhere, from the sea shore to the high sierras. We nick named one Cheez-it while camping at Bodie, CA, because that's what he stuck around for. None of his pals showed up as usual. Maybe he was a ghost. ;)

This gull must have visited SanFranSicko at some point. That's how the bums there live. The question is who learned from whom? They both steal stuff and shit on the sidewalk.

There's a flock of Grackles and Cowbirds living on the intercoastal down near Hollywood Florida that do the same thing at the restaurants with little packs of "Captains Wafers" crackers and Saltines.

I've set at a table overlooking the water and seen them do it myself.
